How to find median rent price for your property.

| August 22, 2012

Recently I  did a search for Average rental rates for properties in Australia. I actually was doing this search to find out what  the average rental rate  was for a  particular suburb , as i wanted  to know the going rent rate  for this suburb. I was surprised to see a brand new website ( realestateview.com.au and not realestate.com.au) showing up on the top of the search listings and ranking well for all type of real estate searches on google.com.au. They might have a good internet promoter for their website

How to find average rental rates for your property ?

Anyway, when i did this search for finding average rental rates in Australia  , the top listing was for  this website www.realestateview.com.au/ on my Google search for "how to find median rent price" which didn’t really help me much. But this result did help me confirm that the only way to get a quick good realistic result for this query ( finding a median rent price for a Australian property) was  to do to a rent search on  any of the top websites like realestate.com.au and other ones and type in other details like suburb, how many rooms , types of units , townhouses , bathrroms etc and do a search  and then you get a list of all the houses with that specifics  that are available for rent  with the rent prices that are being asked for for those type of houses or units or whatever.

Compare rental Prices and rent

These rentals with pricing displayed in the searched you did , gives you an idea of the current rent that is being asked in that suburb. To be fair you would want to check or compare results with another  top real estate website as well before making a well informed judgement on rental prices for your property.
